Star-crossed lovers unite on Valentine's Day weekend in Romeo et Juliette from the Kentucky Opera.

Romeo et Juliette will take place on Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. Both shows are to happen at Brown Theatre, located at 315 W Broadway in downtown Louisville.

Tickets for both shows are $31-$88, depending on the seat. All tickets can be purchased at the Kentucky Center box office, the Kentucky Center website, or by calling the box office at 1-800-775-7777.

Romeo et Juliette is one of Shakespeare's most popular works, for some couples could be a romantic Valentine's Day choice. One of Shakespeare's most famous works features two star-crossed lovers from feuding families. Their romance may be thwarted, however, due to their feuding families and possible tragedy.

Charles Gounod adapted the Shakespeare work into the opera, which features Ava Pine as Juliette and Vale Rideout as Romeo.

More information on the show can be found at the Kentucky Opera website.
