Stanford is still ranked ahead of the Cal women in this week’s Associated Press poll – but barely.

Stanford, which split a pair of games against the Golden Bears in the past week, is No. 6 in this week’s AP poll, which was released on Monday, while Cal remained at No. 7, one spot behind the Cardinal.

Stanford started the season ranked No. 4 and was No. 1 for several weeks after beating No. 1 Baylor, but losses to UConn and Cal have dropped Stanford to it lowest ranking of the season.

And things don’t get any easier for Stanford, which on Friday hosts UCLA, which is up to No. 14 in this week’s rankings. The Cardinal’s loss to Cal on Sunday, which ended Stanford's 81-game winning streak against conference opponents, was Stanford ‘s second straight home loss. And if it should lose to the Bruins, Stanford will have lost three straight home games for the first time in 26 years.
