Stanford on Rimington too

This is college football awards watch list season as we get tuned up for training camp in a few weeks. The latest list out has another Stanford football player representing.

Center Sam Schwartzstein has found his way on to the Rimington Award watch list. The Rimington is given to the top center in college football.

After winning a heated battle in training camp last year to win the job, Schwartzstein started in every game last season anchoring an offensive line that protected Andrew Luck and blocked for a running game that rushed for 2,882 yards with a 5.3 yards per carry average.

The redshirt senior will now be the veteran on an offensive line that is looking to replace two starters that are NFL bound in Jonathan Martin and David DeCastro.
