Stanfill and Hartley among artists playing at Saturday Night Music in the Bistro

The Booksellers at Laurelwood recently announced the upcoming schedule for Saturday Night Music in the Bistro. The Booksellers Bistro is located inside the bookstore formerly known as Davis-Kidd Booksellers in the Laurelwood Shopping Center.

On Saturday, January 26, from 6 to 8 p.m., Jeremy Stanfill will delight guests with is unique style of music. Jeremy is a born and bred Memphian, with music in his bones. When he’s not drumming for Star & Micey, Jeremy writes and sings shootin’ the moon-style Americana songs of heartbreaking honesty that evoke that difficult space where the sadness of wandering lost is the same thing as the joy of freedom.

In a rare solo performance, Bryan Hartley, front man of local band Bryan Hartley Industries, showcases his southern roots, emotions, struggles, and adventurer's spirit through his folk driven, poetic country rock music. He will perform Saturday, February 2, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Jon Hart (The Sultana) will perform Saturday, February 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. Artist/musician and front man of The Sultana, Jon Hart’s songwriting is inspired by old motorcycles, the American Civil War, film noir, and the Western genre. A highly skilled musician, Hart puts an educated spin on folk that will have you addicted from the very first chord.

Jeff Hulett will follow on Saturday, February 16. As a member of Snowglobe, Jeffrey James and the Haul, and as Public Relations Coordinator for the Church Health Center and organizer of the yearly Rock for Love festival, Jeff’s impact on the local music scene would be difficult to overestimate. His newest venture is the Jeff Hulett One Man Band, in which he combines guitar, harmonica, and a suitcase kick drum Dick Van Dyke-style for something totally original and foot-stompingly fun.
