Tomorrow night kicks off the 7th annual Standing Rock International Short Film & Video Festival. This local forum for international short films appears once again at The Kent Stage in Kent, OH. Tickets are $10 for the general public and only $7 for students and seniors. Events start at 8pm.

In describing the festivities, Standing Rock Cultural Events announced that the short films will include animation, music videos, short comedy, experimental films, documentaries and more.  Film fans of all kinds will be delighted at the diversity of styles and filmmakers.

The festival will begin by showing ten short films from artists around the globe. Ballots will be utilized to determine a favorite, the winner of the Audience Choice Award. A spotlight on Spanish filmmaker Lucas Figuera will follow the shorts presentation. Three of his short films will be screened. The evening will be concluded by live musical performances that will form the soundtrack to a short film made by Cindy Penter.

For more information on the short films or the details of the event, go to the official website.
