Utica Public Library is proud to announce a one-man show by performer Tim Collins entitled “Standing By, Standing Up.” The show will take place on Tuesday, September 24 at 6:00pm. The performance, which is geared towards students in grades 4-12 as well as parents and educators, looks at the important issues of bullying, cyberbullying, and exclusion which face young people today.
During the show, Mr. Collins takes on the roles of several young men, and examines different ways those be bullied, and those bullying others, can change, and the consequences of their actions. The show highlights the violence and fear of bullying, but also points toward the hopeful outcomes that can be found when students, educators and parents confront the issue and work toward promoting peace and safety within their schools and lives.
