Get out to Standing Bear Lake while the weather is still beautiful. Standing Bear Lake is an underutilized park on the northwest side of Omaha. There are many shaded areas for jogging, walking, playing/training animals.
The lake is great for fishing. Many people put their row boats, sail boats, canoes, kayaks out on the lake. It is nice and quiet, wide open for serene fishing or reflection.
Standing Bear Lake is also a nice place to do your art work whether sketching or painting. Photography is another art form to be explored at this park for the number of birds and butterflies to be found.
Get out the bikes, running shoes, walking sticks and take the family for some outdoor fun while the good weather lasts.
