We are in for a good dramedy movie to be released in February 2013. The cast members will make this film a popular movie, at least for an older generation of comedy movie viewers. “Stand Up Guys” is hitting theaters with a look at criminals at their best.
Plot: “Stand Up Guys” is a story of criminal associates who refuse to give up their friendship. Val comes home from a 28-year term behind bars. He was sent to prison when he chose to stick close to his friends who have a record of criminal activity.
Val’s pal, Doc, picks him up from prison on his release date. The two head straight for the third in their pack, Hirsch.
The three begin to reminisce about good times they shared. As they chat, it becomes clear they have missed many good times during their prison sentence. Even at their older age, they still have the willingness to get into trouble. They choose to catch up on all the drugs, crime and sex they have missed.
It becomes clear that one of the three have a secret they have withheld from the others. The secret leads to dangerous situations with the mob. It is time they find an answer to the situation and discover how to get their friend out of trouble with the mob boss.
With the reunion of the three, the problem becomes one of desperation. They will have to confront the past once and for all. One has the task of killing another.
“Stand Up Guys” is rated ‘R’ for foul language, sexual escapades, violence and shots of brief drug use.
