On Feb. 23, actress Stana Katic stepped out with some fellow film stars for the second time this week when she attended the 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards. The “Castle” star arrived matching the Spirit Awards’ trademark pink carpet wearing a lovely magenta Donna Karan suit.
“Castle” costume designer Luke Reichle was also out on the pink carpet at the event interviewing arrivals to the ceremony, which takes place beachfront in Santa Monica, California. On her fashion choice for the event, Stana told Luke, “It’s silk and it’s comfortable and it’s covered, so I feel like I have a barricade against the wonderful winds of the Pacific.” You can see the entirety of Stana Katic’s charming interview with Luke Reichle in the video below. The Film Independent Spirit Awards honors achievements in the Independent Film industry and hands out awards to nominees in a number of categories including Best Lead and Best Supporting actors, Best Feature, Best Feature Made for Under $500,000 and more. Now in their 28th year, the 2013 awards are being hosted by Andy Samberg and will be broadcast on television on the Independent Film Channel (IFC) at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
