Many Marvel fans thought it was the end of the famous Stan Lee cameos in Marvel films when the legend said he would not be making an appearance in “Guardians of the Galaxy.” Lee's cameos are a fan favorite, and something we always look forward to when a new installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe hit theaters. However, rest assured that Stan Lee will return. On Monday, revealed the false alarm.

This weekend, Stan Lee was at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo and was once again asked about his involvement in “Guardians of the Galaxy.” Stan Lee responded, “I did, already [shoot a cameo]. I can’t tell you what it is, but I can tell you I do not understand what it was or why I did it. It has me with a girl – a very pretty girl – that’s all I can tell you.” Hmm, what could production have made Stan Lee do that he did not understand his role?

Well into the shooting of “Guardians of the Galaxy,” Stan Lee had said he had not and would not be filming a cameo. This makes the source speculate that Lee’s cameo was shot when the additional shooting took place a few short weeks ago.

As for who the “pretty girl” is, that’s anyone’s guess. The source says it could be Zoe Saldana’s Gamora, Karen Gillan’s Nebula, or Ophelia Lovibond’s character. Perhaps it’s an unimportant character; we can’t wait to find out!

“Guardians of the Galaxy” stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Michael Rooker, Lee Pace, and more. This film will be the fourth installment of Phase Two for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, set to hit theaters very soon on August 1. It will be followed by “Avengers: Age of Ultron” on May 1, 2015.

Also a Marvel hero, but unfortunately not part of the Cinematic Universe, is “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.” The second Spidey chapter stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, and Dane DeHaan. The film is set to swing to theaters this Friday, May 2.
