Stamping Out Hunger In Sycamore

The National Association of Letter Carriers along with the United States Postal Service are holding a "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive this week. Sycamore residents can conveniently donate on Saturday, May 8.

Residents can leave non-perishable food items in a bag near their mailbox before the letter carrier arrives. Food items such as canned meats, fish, vegetables, soup, or boxed/bagged cereal and rice. Please be sure not to include items in glass containers or expired food. The letter carrier will take all donated items back to the Post Office. Then, the Postal Service will distribute the donations to local food banks and pantries.

Participating in this food drive is such an easy way to give back to the community. Just think if every resident in Sycamore gave only one donated item to the food drive, the Post Office would be able to deliver almost 15,000 cans of food to our local residents in need. Please consider donating on May 8. For more information, please visit www.usps.com/stampouthunger.
