Davis has four years of Canadian Football League experience, three with the Edmonton Eskimos and one with the Alouettes.
During his career he has an impressive 184 tackles, 10 sacks, four forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and eight interceptions.
Now at the age of 31, Davis brings experience to a Calgary Stampeders' defensive unit that gave up the third fewest points in the Canadian Football League last season. Davis, a product of the University of Southern Mississippi, also has NFL experience having played 40 games with the Minnesota Vikings and Carolina Panthers from 2004-2006. Davis was also the Vikings' fifth round pick in the 2004 NFL Draft.
The Stampeders also announced the signing today of linebacker and special teams specialist Yannick Carter from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Tuesday, and the release of defensive lineman Anwar Stewart and punt returner Jason Armstead.
