Stampeders sign Jeffers-Harris on Tuesday

According to TSN, the Calgary Stampeders have signed import wide-receiver Terence Jeffers-Harris from the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Tuesday.

In four games last season for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Jeffers-Harris played four games, made six catches for 118 yards, ninth on the team in total receiving yards. Jeffers-Harris also had a 43 yard touchdown reception from Drew Willy in a 52-0 Saskatchewan win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Jeffers-Harris, who played in the NCAA for the University of Connecticut and Vanderbilt University, had his best season in the Canadian Football League during his rookie season. In 2010, he had 547 yards and four touchdowns for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and remained in Winnipeg for another season.

The signing comes one week after the Stampeders decided to release wide receiver Romby Bryant.

The Stampeders also announced the signing of linebacker Demetri Stewart from Northern Michigan University and that defensive end Chris McCoy would officially be released.

McCoy had to be released so he could officially sign with the Philadelphia Eagles.
