In a game the Calgary Stampeders should not have won, they found a way to win Friday evening at McMahon Stadium.
Despite trailing for the majority of the football game, Bo Levi Mitchell threw a 15 yard touchdown pass to Marquay McDaniel late in the fourth quarter as the Calgary Stampeders defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 26-22.
The Stampeders trailed throughout the game during the majority of the first quarter. Former Stampeder Henry Burris found Andy Fantuz early with a 37 yard touchdown pass only 1:56 into the game. After the Stampeders took a 13-8 lead early in the second quarter on a 80 yard touchdown pass from Mitchell to Maurice Price, the Tiger-Cats took the lead back heading into the half on a 6 yard touchdown pass from Burris to Onrea Jones.
The Tiger-Cats then maintained the second half lead up until McDaniel's late touchdown.
With the win Calgary improves to 9-2, while Hamilton drops to 5-6.
Burris meanwhile became only the fifth quarterback in CFL history to throw for 50,000 passing yards.
