Stallone and De Niro duke it out in 'Grudge Match'

Peter Segal gave us “The Longest Yard” and “Get Smart.” His latest comedy, “Grudge Match” is coming to theaters on November 15, 2013.

Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone duke it out in the star-studded comedy. Both are retired boxers who have been lifelong rivals – in the ring and out. They’re talked out of retirement status to hash it out in one final grudge match. It’s been 50 long years since their last fight but the two are ready to battle, if their elderly muscles can handle it.

Warner Brothers puts up “Rocky Balboa” and “Jake LaMotta” to see which will come out ahead – even at their age. It should be an interesting film and will hopefully be written well to give it the power punch it needs. Writers Tim Kelleher and Doug Ellin are behind the comedic lines.

Kim Basinger, Alan Arkin and Kevin Hart will play a role in the fist-slamming match too. With a cast like this, there is no reason “Grudge Match” couldn’t be an amazing comedy film. Once again, it just depends on directing and writing. The "Grudge Match" comedy could end up a geriatric disaster as easily as a hit.

Watch for “Grudge Match” in theaters on November 15, 2013.
