Stack up some healthy competition

On your mark, get set, stack! Better get your fingers nice and nimble for this weekend’s family event. A cup stacking tournament at the Truman Memorial Building Gym, located at 416 W. Maple Ave., Independence, MO, will have you breaking a sweat as you and several competitors compete in each event. The event is this Saturday, January 30, from 10 a.m. until noon. The six age divisions are: 5-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-16, 17-49, and 50+. Pre-registration is required. To register, please call 816-325-7843. The participation fee is $15.00.

Participants will have three chances to compete in each of the planned events. The best time from each event will be recorded. The top three finishers will receive trophies. It is strongly encouraged that you arrive at the event at least ten minutes early for sign in and allow some additional time to find adequate parking. The Truman Memorial Building entrance is located on Pleasant Street (street level), across from the Palmer Center.
