As one of the world's leading sustainable ranch resorts, The Devil’s Thumb Ranch boasts Cabin Creek Stables which offers year around, equestrian adventure horseback riding programs for kids, adults and groups that focuses on horsemanship skills as well as the joys of trail riding. Guests are encouraged to explore the 5,000 acre property on horseback by offering:

  • Sunrise & Sunset Rides
    • Guests choose whether they want to start the day with a peaceful morning ride and a cup of coffee or end the day riding off to into the tranquil sunset
  • Half-Day Horseback Ride
  • Full-Day Horseback Ride
  • Half-Hour Pony Rides
  • Ages 3 to 7 years
  • Half-Hour Wagon Ride
  • One-Hour Wagon Ride

Additional adventures include:

  • Skill training sessions
  • Rodeo Event Practice
  • Shodeo Performances
  • Off-road Buggy Rides
  • Lunch Rides
  • Weeklong Wrangle camps for teens (summer) and adults (fall)
  • Sleigh Rides (winter)
  • Feed Rides (winter)

Customized trips and programs are also available on a request basis.

A new program called the Cowpoke Camp allows kids (between the ages of 5 to 12) to enjoy exciting themed activities on the property such as, the Native American, Cowpoke, Mountaineering, Nature and Kids in the Kitchen. The camps include games, learning and fun.

Half Day Camps are offered from 9am – 1pm or 12pm to 4pm which includes a lunch at $50 a cowpoke

Or a Full day Camp which is from 9am to 4pm which also includes lunch at $80 a cowpoke

These camps were designed to allow both parents and kids to enjoy the properties onsite amenities. Giving parents a chance to relax and explore the property themselves while the kids learn, experience fun games and make new friends.
