Stabbing at Hazelwood Central High School

Students were dismissed early from Hazelwood Central High School Tuesday after a student reportedly brought a knife to school and stabbed another student. According to police, a 17-year-old student was stabbed in the leg by another student wielding a pocket knife. In the state of Missouri, children are no longer considered minors at age 17 in the eyes of the law. The juvenile is in custody and police have not released the age of the suspect. Investigators are working to determine whether the stabbing was accidental or intentional. St. Louis County is pushing for charges on the suspect.
