Stabbing at Gregg Allman Ryman Concert

Nashville native, Gregg Allman, is on tour promoting his new album Low Country Blues. Police say that during last night’s performance at the Ryman Auditorium, a man was stabbed in the head and face by a fellow concert attendee.

Carl Brothers has been charged with aggravated assault for attacking, stabbing, and chasing the victim for allegedly bumping into him during the concert. The victim was treated by medical responders for a superficial wound to the head and released.

Allman, who was in town to promote his first solo album in 14 years, has had it pretty rough the last few years, too. The now sober musician was diagnosed with hepatitis C in 2007-due to an infection from his collection of extensive tattoos; and last year had a successful liver transplant.
