Stabbing at Franklin Regional; reported 20 injured

According to the Pittsburg Post Gazette, twenty students were injured during a rampage stabbing at Franklin Regional High School.

Four of the twenty injured are in serious condition and are being treated at area hospitals. The age range of the injured is 14-17 years old. Parents are being contacted and directed to a nearby elementary to pick up their children.

The Post Gazette is also reporting one male student is being held as a suspect and is being questioned by the police. The attack started around 7:15 a.m. just before classess began and students were injured in hallways and classrooms. Police and emergency crews now swarm the high school grounds.

The high schools website has been shut down possible due to an overflow of traffic. But before the website crashed the school district announced a critical incident had occurred at the high school and the students were secure.
