St. Paul has expanded free breakfast to all schools, reaching more kids with this important meal, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press 10-16-11. The children may go through the free breakfast line and eat in their classrooms. Experts have claimed for years that breakfast is very important for us all, but especially young minds.
The food we eat not only has the ability to nourish our body, affecting our health, but also has an impact on the general energy level we vibrate or exist at. Energetically, the food we consume impacts our overall vibrational level, our creative energy, the amount of intuitive guidance we are able to receive, and our physical health.
Basic nutrition seems to be a significant problem, debate, and health concern for our society. Often times we get too close to a “problem” to see it clearly. This seems to be the circumstance with the basic food we consume. Many have gone away from wholesome whole foods, bought into our modern, fast, convenient food, and as a society we seem to be paying the price. Our modern advances, I believe, have clouded our vision, media has influenced us, and we often blindly consume a diet that will be detrimental to our physical and spiritual well-being.
In the book The China Study: Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long-term health by T. Colin Campbell and Thomas M. Campbell II, MD they claim that there is not only a strong link between diet and all disease, but that our bodies naturally heal from most disease when consuming a proper diet. After world wide extensive research and studies, including “The China Study” (which was jointly arranged through Cornell University, Oxford University, and the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine) we seem to be consuming too much animal-based protein and the adverse effects have been devastating to our general health.
The nutritional diets presented by professionals in their fields have been very diverse and often contradict each other. So we may contemplate what to believe and if T. Colin Campbell and Thomas M. Campbell II, MD are correct with these statistics.
T. Colin Campbell and Thomas M. Campbell II, MD claims that a high plant based diet and low animal based diet is beneficial to our health. “The China Study” found that people who ate the most animal-based foods got the most chronic diseases. Even relatively small animal-based foods were associated with adverse effects. Heart disease, diabetes, and cancer seem to diminish or completely reverse themselves with a plant-based diet.
I believe, the food we eat not only has the ability to nourish our body, affecting our health, but also has an impact on the energy level we vibrate or exist at. It seems obvious that, knowing we were created by God, in God’s image, with the hope of continuous soul growth, that we should be able to maintain our bodies with the natural foods around us. All other species exist successfully with the natural food around them, if humans or environmental causes have not eliminated their food supply. It also seems that we should be more diligent as a society, in treating all animals with humane care whether we choose a carnivorous or vegetarian diet.
