The Pet Post in partnership with Pet Sit Pros, The Pet Sitting & Dog Walking Professionals will be hosting a fun and exciting community event created to support a very important cause, pet adoption.
A fun-filled afternoon for the community to enjoy an afternoon, which will include music, entertainment, shopping, eating, and a special St. Patty's pet pageant and parade.
But most important, this will be a chance for new or current pet owners to meet dozens of displaced dogs and cats seeking to find new, loving and forever homes.
Nearly a dozen non-profit dog and cat rescues and animal humane groups will be on site seeking caring, loving, and safe homes for hundreds of displaced pets of all sizes, colors, and breeds.
Come and meet the staff of Animal Care Services, spcaLA, RescueMe Pups, Friends of Long Beach Animals, Long Beach Spay & Neuter, Long Beach Felines, Angel City Pits, Golden Retriever Club, Sunny Saints, Coastal Sherman Shepherd, Animal MatchRescue Team, and Dobies and Little Paws Rescue.
Not ready to adopt a new companion. Not to worry! Over 20 merchants will be on site eager to meet and greet you; providing you the opportunities to purchase dog clothes, accessories, food, grooming products, paw print porcelain pieces, scented candles, mosaics, and much more.
Need to plan an afternoon or week away from home? Meet dog walkers, pet sitters, and the staff of doggie daycare centers and hotels willing to care for Fee Fee or Fido while you spend some time away from home.
What would an event be without entertainment? Everyone is welcome to join the St. Patty's pet pageant and parade. So bring your family, friends, and pets dressed in your best St. Patty's outfit and join the fun. There is no cost to enter the pageant but we do ask that you bring a bag of dog or cat food to be donated to an important organization caring for pets of the less fortunate – Homeless with Dogs.
The pet pageant and parade will start at 12:00 p.m. Gifts for all contestants while supplies last.
Purchase a plate of food and a soft beverage from Gourmet Genie and sit in the park while listening to music provided by DJ Ric. Other surprises and special guests lined-up that are sure to please you!
