St. Patrick's Express lets you taste some Ales on Rails

Fans of beer and trains can combine their interests on a special "Ales on Rails" excursion from the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad on Friday, March 21.

Luck O' the Irish - St. Patrick's Day Express Passengers can take a 2 hour round trip train ride through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and in honor of St. Patrick's Day can indulge in the CVSR's "Luck O' the Irish" while sampling various beers.

Passengers will be able to sample 5 different beers as experts inform them about each beer's appearance, bouquet, body, flavors and finish. Guests will receive an appetizer with each beer, meant to complement each libation.

Coach seats on the "Ales on Rails" excursion (Seats in group of two facing two) cost $47 per person. Those wishing a first class seat in the Emerson Car (reclining seats) or in the Dome section (offering a panoramic view) can purchase a seat for $67 or $80 per person. Cost for deluxe seating in the Lone Star Car (a deluxe dining car with tables) is $67 per person.

Passengers must be 21 years of age and over. Each guest will receive a tasting glass to commemorate the evening.

The train departs at 7 p.m. from the Akron Northside Station in Akron, Ohio, located at 27 Ridge Rd. in Akron. Call 800-468-4070 for more information or to make reservations or get online at cvsr.org.
