WTF (What The Fringe) embarked on its maiden walking & performer's voyage, at the nation's 2nd largest St. Patrick's Day Parade held annually for 38 years in Kansas CIty, Missouri. It was a glorius day with KC temperature in the upper 70's to make waiting in the staging area very tolerable, to just enjoy the soft winds, clouds and intermittent sunshine. The local weathermen were beside themselves to be able to forcast such a glorius day for all the spectators and parade participants. Examiner.com started out from a suburb in Kansas, Overland Park area and cruised to Southwest Blvd and 31st. When we turned to travel east up 31st we had hit the proverbial traffic jam, that reminds us in the KC area of traffic jams when taking in a sporting events, such as; KC Royals or KC Chiefs games at Royal or Arrowhead stadiums, respectively.Who is considered the Co-founder of Kansas City's St. Patrick's Day Parade? Upon reaching our destination there were hundreds of vendors, perfomers, Dj's, VJ's, Fringers, mobile live radio broadcasting, dancers, steppers all waiting patiently for their spot in the parade. The parade started on 33rd Broadway, walking and marching down to 43rd then over to the Plaza Shopping area, which was the endpoint. It was a productive 1st voyage for KC Fringe to add to its production resume for all concerned.
