St. Patrick's Day Shenanigans throughout LoDo

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Denver! There are so many events going on throughout the day so let’s get right to them.

Fado’s has been open since 8AM to start the festivities. If anyone went to their celebration on Saturday you know this place knows how to throw a party. Live music kicks off at noon with Brian and Brendan Clancy. The Indulgers will take the stage at 2:30PM promptly followed by Irish Step Dancers performing after. The party goes all day long and closes out tonight with a U2 tribute band “Under a blood red sky.”

Scruffy Murphy’s (2030 Larimer) will also be featuring live music all day including: The Commoners, SixtySixDays, Donnybrook Bhoys, and Big Paddy… just to name a few.

For the 9-5 crowd, Denver Young Professionals will hold their monthly meeting at Spill (1410 Market Street) tonight from 6PM-10PM. Come grab some traditional Irish grub with their famous Corned Beer and Cabbage Dinner; after this Spill transforms into O’Spilligans. Their wonderful rooftop will be open, so make sure to stop on by.

The Sportsbook will have great drink specials all night: $3 Killians, Green Beer, and Coors Light, $5 Jameson. They will also have the Avalanche taking on Calgary featured on the big screen.

Are you in the mood for a St. Patty’s Day Bar Crawl? Follow the drink prices around from Tryst (9-10), TheDrink (10-11), and Mix Music Lounge (11-12). Drink specials include the ever popular Irish Car Bomb for $4, $3 Jameson shots, and $3 Guinness. There will also be a green Ipod give away for the best St. Patty’s Day outfit.

With so many choices there is no reason to not get out for at least one green beer at your favorite watering hole.
