St. Patrick's Day is fast approaching and no matter where you end up you can expect lots of green, lots of shamrocks, and plenty of beer. To give you some random trivia about this holidays, did you know that originally, the color associated with Saint Patrick was blue? Over the years it switched over to green and green ribbons and shamrocks were worn in celebration of St Patrick's Day as early as the 17th century. Saint Patrick is said to have used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity and the wearing and display of shamrocks and shamrock-inspired designs has become a feature of the day.
