"St. Patrick’s Day at Dan McGuinness Nashville"

St. Patrick’s Day is one of the most widely celebrated days of the year. Everyone seems to find “some” vestige of Irish heritage on this day. Dan McGuinness Pub, created in the profile of an Irish Pub, has been the leading party spot for those looking to celebrate this great day in Nashville.

Nashville, not know for legitimate Irish tradition, and not a great destination spot for St. Patrick’s Day, struggles for an identity on this day. For the most part. Dan McGuinness has tried to fill the void. With their primary location on Demonbreun to their second location in Cool Springs, they have made the most of this day.

Starting very early with a “kegs and eggs” breakfast, to providing a shuttle between the two locations, this is their signature event. Live music, of course, is standard operating procedure in Nashville, but Dan McGuinness finds what little traditional Irish music is available, and makes that the standard on this day.

To be fair, St. Patrick’s generally translates to just another reason to party. Not that there is anything wrong with that! But the Irish are a proud group, and if the Dan McGuinness people did not do it right, there would ultimately be a backlash that would de-legitimize the day overall.

This year, with St. Patrick’s occurring on Sunday, Dan McGuinness is stretching their celebration to the prior Saturday. Live Irish music will start at 8 p.m. with a cover charge of only $5. On Sunday, an advance ticket is available for $10, and tickets will be available at the door for $15.

St. Patrick’s Day has become a national event. Come out and celebrate at Dan McGuinness Irish Pub.

See you at the pub. Cheers!
