St. Patrick's Day at Busch Gardens in Tampa: Green beer and more

There's a two-day St. Patrick's celebration coming up at Busch Gardens Tampa on March 16 and 17. The park will offer classic Irish dishes like corned beef and cabbage at the Crown Colony Restaurant and the Desert Grill. Wash them down with a selection of Irish beer, including special green brew in honor of the holiday.

Combine the special food with a day of celebrating with the rides and shows. Busch Gardens Tampa is a roller coaster enthusiast's dream, with scream machines like SheiKra, Montu, and Cheetah Hunt. If you prefer a tamer experience, focus on shows like Iceploration and stroll through the animal habitats to see lions, cheetahs, hippos, rhinos, giraffes, and many other handsome creatures.

If you don't already have a pass, buying a 2013 Fun Card gives you access to Busch Gardens Tampa for the St. Patrick's Day festivities and every day for the rest of the year. You can buy it online or at the front gate. It's $85 for adults and $77 for kids. There are no blackout dates, but parking isn't included.

If you're planning to stick around Orlando for the holiday, check out the Mighty Festival at Downtown Disney's Raglan Road. The Irish restaurant and pub has a full slate of music, dancing, food, drink, and fun all weekend long. Read about it here.
