St. Paddy's weekend

March is here and the temperature is rising. The flowers are starting to bloom. And in a few weeks, the beer will turn as green as the spring grass. That's right folks, St. Patricks Day is around the corner and and Atlanta has it going on. Whether you are looking to party or wanting to spend time with the family, there is something for everyone.

  • Friday, March 15th

3rd Annual Green Mile Midtown Pub Crawl
Register at the Deadwood Saloon - (6 - 11 p.m.) Walk the Green Mile (aka 3 - 4 blocks) to 6 bars and clubs in Midtown dressed in your GREEN and drink like you're IRISH. Event includes Leprechaun size beer and 5 hosted complementary Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey shots or St. Paddy's themed shots, free admission into all venues, food/drink specials, beads and after party with costume contest and prizes at Cosmo Lava at midnight. Participating bars and clubs are Deadwood Saloon, Flip Flops, Front Page News, Ri Ra, Fins and Cosmo Lava. Tickets are $20. Check out pics from last year.

Atlanta St. Patricks Parade 2013
The 130th Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade will be held at 12:00 noon. Participation in the parade is not just an “Irish thing”. The parade attracts individuals and groups from around the city and the South including clowns, floats, bands, Bagpipe & Drum Corps, children, dancers, drill teams, and more. All groups are encouraged to participate as long as their unit is appropriate for a “family” event. The emphasis is on children, schools and immigrants, and of course, fun. Step off begins at Peachtree and Ralph McGill and will proceed down Peachtree toward Woodruff Park and ending at 5 Points on Marietta St. If you are interested in participating in the parade, you can submit an application. Kegs 'N Eggs Virginia Highland Pub Crawl
Register at Neighbor's Pub - (10 a.m.-2 p.m.). Tickets include 5 hosted Leprechaun sized drinks and small breakfast items. Participating bars with food and drink offerings include Neighbor's Pub, Hand in Hand, Limerick Junction, Dark Horse Tavern, Diesel, and Atkins Park. Tickets are $25. Check out last year pics.

Luck of the Irish Buckhead Pub Crawl
Register at Park Bench - (5-10:30 p.m.). Admission includes 6 hosted St. Paddy's Day themed shots or Michael Collins Irish Whiskey shots. You also get admission to the after party at Andrews Entertainment District featuring a live band and DJ plus other participating bars, St. Patrick's Day beads, food and drink specials. Participating bars include Andrews Entertainment District, Churchills British Pub, Hangovers, Lost Dog Tavern, Dive Bar, Buckhead Saloon and Park Bench. Tickets are $20.

St. Patrick's Day Savannah Trip 2013
Enjoy luxury coach bus transportation from Buckhead, beverages (beer, mimosas, water, soda), snacks, a light breakfast and parade beads plus free entrance into the Luck of the Irish Buckhead Pub Crawl that night. Mimosas will be served in the morning. Beer & wine on the bus. Tickets are $109 per person.

RiRa St. Patrick's Day Celebration
Rock 100.5, Guinness and Absolut along with our friends at RiRa The Irish Pub are teaming up, shutting down the street, and celebrating this most traditional of American holiday's. The party that was so big they had to take over Crescent Ave., returns to Midtown. This annual party will feature live music on the outdoor, main stage starting at 3pm with performances from Kontraband, The Armory, The Geeks and The Regulars along with the musical mixes of DJ DRTI topped off with a party crowd and of course lots of Guinness Beer. Admission is only $10 in advance and at the door.

2013 Shamrock the Station featuring Tonic
Atlantic Station will once again throw one of Atlanta’s best St. Patrick’s Day bash — ShamRock the Station. The second-annual event will make Midtown “the place to be” for St. Patrick’s Day. Starting at noon, families can enjoy Irish dancing, games, face painting, balloon art, and a special Nickelodeon meet and greet until 4:00pm. For the 21 and up crowd enjoy premium and craft beer stations with popular drinking games - sponsored by Meehan's Public House.
At 5:00pm, they’ll wrap up the family activities to get ready for a St. Patty’s Day concert. The evening starts when Red Letter and then Endless Fridays take the main stage. At 5:30pm, Central Park will close for the ticketed concert featuring: Desire and our headliner - Tonic. Tickets are $10 pre-sale (available at Atlantic Station Concierge Desk and TicketAlternative.com) and $20 day of event. Kids 12 and under are free with adult!
