St. Patrick’s Day brings out the lucky leprechaun in lots of folks, be they Irish or not. On this festive holiday, green is the order of the occasion, from food to décor and even apparel.
This St. Patrick’s Day punch is a sure crowd-pleaser. Serve it sans alcohol for a family-friendly treat.
Here’s how to make St. Paddy’s Day Punch to serve a crowd of about 50.
First, gather your St. Paddy’s Day Punch ingredients:
- 2 packages (3 ounces each) lime gelatin mix
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 can (12 ounces) frozen concentrated lemonade (thawed)
- 1 can (12 ounces) frozen concentrated limeade (thawed)
- 2 quarts orange juice
- 2 quarts pineapple juice
- 2 liters ginger ale
- Green food coloring
Follow these simple instructions to make St. Paddy’s Day Punch:
First, dissolve the lime gelatin mix in the boiling water. Stir it well until all particles have melted.
In a large punch bowl, combine the gelatin liquid, lemonade, limeade, orange juice, and pineapple juice. Add a few drops of green food coloring, if desired, until the punch is a deep St. Patrick’s Day emerald hue.
Gently pour the ginger ale into the punch. Drop in plenty of ice cubes or an ice mold, as St. Paddy’s Day Punch is best served very cold.
For a grown-up gathering, a host might choose to add a but if spirits (such as rum, tequila, or vodka) to this St. Paddy’s Day Punch recipe.
