St. Paddy's Day Highlights The Dangers Of Alcohol (Video)

If you have ever been around New York City on St. Patrick's Day you get to see some pretty rowdy behavior. This behavior is often viewed as a cry for help by the therapists in New York City.

Over the years, the restrictions placed on drinking liquor in public during the St. Paddy's day celebration has been increased. This has been due to the many scenes of public intoxication, barfing on the streets, buses, subways and buildings around town. And the overall problems like fights and disorderly conduct that has for a very long time been a part of this wonderful festival.

The reason I bring this up, is that behavior like this is usually infrequent for most. But imagine for a moment that this is the way your life plays out day after day.

If you've ever witnessed the kinds of celebrating I described above, you can imagine how disruptive and debilitating this kind of behavior would be on a regular basis.

As horrible as it seems, this is the kind of life that people with alcohol problems live.

This is the type of weekend activity of the binge drinker. And if you or someone you know suffers from a binge drinking problem, you need to know that there is certain help for you and them.

There are clinics around the city where you can go if you have an alcohol dependency problem. And binge drinking is a problem that usually doesn't just disappear without some kind of intervention.

There's AA, and there's councilors trained to help drug abusers and therapy centers that can help.

There's also help from the hypnotists in New York who are trained to help manage behaviors of this sort.
