St. Norbert College presents a musical Valentine's weekend

St. Norbert College located in downtown De Pere, Wis will present a variety of music performances this Valentine's weekend. Concerts will include the Knights on Broadway, the Jazz Ensemble and the Wind Ensemble with the Winter Bandfest High School Honors Band.

Knights on Broadway

The Knights on Broadway will present "Songs of Love" at 6:00 p.m. in the F.K. Bemis International Center on the college campus, Saturday, February 16, 2013. The performances pays tribute to some of the best loves songs and stories found on Broadway.

This dinner show includes fine dining, dessert, champagne and roses for the ladies. In addition, the evening will be proceeded by a cash bar and cocktails at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $75.00 and must be purchased by noon on Wednesday, Feb. 13. Show-only tickets (if any become available) may be purchased beginning at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 13, and will cost $29.

Knights on Broadway is a small cabaret-style music theater group of students who perform on campus and through the community. "Songs of Love" will be directed by Kent Paulsen.

Winter Band Concert

The St. Norbert College Music Department brings their Winter Band Concert to the stage Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Walter Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts.Tickets for the concert are $6.00.

The concert will feature the St. Norbert College Jazz Ensemble directed by Eric High, assistant professor of music, and the Wind Ensemble, directed by Michael Knight, assistant professor of music. St. Norbert College faculty soloists will also perform.

Winter Bandfest Concert

Sunday, February 17 welcomes the St. Norbert College Wind Ensemble and the Winter BandFest High School Honor Band at 2:00 p.m. in the Walter Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts. Over 70 high school musicians from northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan are a part of the honors band. Both ensembles will be directed by Michael Knight, assistant professor of music. The program includes works by Marquez, Gillingham, Grainger and Nelson. Tickets for the event at $6.00.
