For the women it was a dominant display as they took the game to TAMIU and had a series of corners early on in the half.
The Rattlers dominance finally paid off on the half hour mark as Janey Coronado found Lauren Peck who was able to put away the opener.
The Rattlers continued to control possession for the remainder of the half but they could not get that dominance to pay off as they went in to half time at 1-0.
St. Marys' continued to control the match as they pushed forward but the TAMIU defense held firm to deny the Rattlers.
In the 69th minute the Rattler's were handed another chance as Claire Etter was able to step up for a penalty but saw her effort saved although she was alert enough to respond quickly and come in and tap home the rebound to double the lead.
Just four minutes later St. Mary's managed to extend their lead as Kristial Williams was able to slam home an impressive strike.
From there Brianna Shafer took over and dominated the match scoring the final two goals that saw St. Mary's set up a 4-0 win.
Her first came in the 82nd minute as she was put through by Katie Kasperitis before wrapping up the 4-0 win in the 90th minute as she put away Amanda Cardozo's cross.
The result means the St. Mary's Women are third in the conference with two matches to play for the season.
For the men it was a very different story as TAMIU managed an impressive 4-1 win over the Rattlers.
It was looking good early for the Rattlers as a free-kick allowed Alex Gonzalez a great chance that he duly took sending it over the keeper's head for the first goal at Beta Sigma Chi Field.
From there both sides tried to attack but were stifled by solid defenses as the half ended with the sides locked at a goal a piece.
TAMIU came out of the break determined to get the lead and they did just six minutes in to the half before easily controlling the remainder of the match.
The Rattlers would have thought they were in the match until the last ten minutes when two goals sealed the 4-1 win.
