St. Luke's University Health Networks hosted an open house on Tuesday for it new ofering for neurology services in Bethlehem.
The St. Luke's Center for Neuroscience and Physical Therapy makes it home, all in one building, on Eight Avenue. The center combines the Neurological Science offices, which was in the same complex, with a rehabilitation center that specializes in physical and operational therapy for patients suffering from disorders or injuries to the brain and spine.
In addition to the combination, the new Neuro-Rehab facility will increase the medical staff by another six doctor for quick patient turn-around, but also features an emergency entrance for patients arriving by ambulance.
The open house offered balance and physical function assessments, language and memory tests, fine motor skills stations, as well as Lymphedema and speech therapy exercises.
