This is not your parent’s Christian music station. Boost 101.9 is expected to play positive hits, hip hop and other popular music styles from artists like Lacrae, Britt Nicole, Skillet, and local St. Louis bands, like Flame.

Not only will the new music station provide the music today’s young people want to hear, but listeners will decide what is played and what is not played. The format of the station will be a listener-driven style where fans vote songs up or down through the Boost 101.9 website or by using Android or iPhone and iPad apps.

The station will also provide between-song conversations that are intended to uplift and encourage college students, teenagers and pre-teens, known as "tweens", with topics that concern this age group.

The new station will be called Boost 101.9 and has a planned launch date of Monday, March 24. In the Westplex, tune into 94.1, or 97.7 in South County. Sign up to receive the latest news on the Boost 101.9 launch.
