Because of this white, slippery covering (called snow) across the St. Louis area; Shop 'N Save stores are extending their Thursday coupon deal. On select Thursdays, Shop 'N Save offers $10 off your $50 purchase. Due to dangerous road conditions, they have extended this to Friday this week.
Their Facebook post reads:
ATTENTION CUSTOMERS: Due to the extreme road conditions today we are extending our $10 off $50 or more "Coupon Thursday" offer through Friday, January 13th. Please see our 1/8/12 ad or contact your Shop 'n Save store for limitations.
Anyone who has lived in St. Louis for more than a day realizes quickly that the weather changes constantly. Yesterday, you may have been walking around a park in a sweatshirt. Today, it is 18 degrees with falling snow. Drivers were reporting that their trip to work, which normally takes 20 minutes, was taking as long as 3 hours.
Winter advisory warnings were issued until 6:00 p.m. on Tursday. On top of the driving struggles, areas of St. Louis and St. Charles will no longer receive side street snow plow service as they had before.
Stay off the roads if you can. Wait until your roads are safe to travel on Friday. Then, on Friday the 13th, you'll have something to be less superstitious about. Enjoy the same $10 off your $50 purchase that you would have enjoyed on Thursday.
