St. Louis family events: International Festival and Night at the Aquarium

Bring your family to the 12th annual International Festival, held on Sunday, February 24th, at the Maryland Heights Centre. Admission, as well as parking, is free. The event starts at noon with the “Parade of Nations” opening ceremony. Two stages will feature live music and dance from around the world, including Latin jazz, Bollywood Dancers, Japanese drumming and a five-piece German band. Experience international art demonstrations such as ice sculpting and wood carving. You can also purchase items such as bracelets from Uganda, Chinese Calligraphy, parasols and other artwork at the international marketplace. Sample foods from Argentina, Nigeria, Jamaica, India, Italy and other countries. Sponsored by the Maryland Heights Cultural Arts Commission and the Parks and Recreation Department.

Also on Sunday, the City Museum is offering Night at the Aquarium, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with dinner. Choose a hot dog or hamburger with chips, cookie, and a drink. Then, browse the aquarium to see the facility's array of marine flora, interact with the animals, watch feedings and take some great photos.
