The health care that people have come to know for more than 100 years with St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix is branching out west.
Dignity Health, the parent organization of Chandler Regional Medical Center, Mercy Gilbert Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center is getting ready to open a 35-acre medical campus in Glendale.
St. Joseph’s Westgate Medical Center includes an emergency department, a 24-bed inpatient hospital with two operating rooms, and dedicated space for diagnostic services.
The hospital is at 7300 N. 99th Avenue (just west of the 101 freeway).
The hospital is opening in the spring of 2014 with 200 full-time employees at the 60,000 square foot hospital on a 35-acre medical campus. It is expected to have 24 inpatient beds, a 12-bed emergency room, 12 universal care beds (ER overflow and observation), two operating rooms, two procedure rooms and diagnostic services.
