“Just as a mirror, which reflects all things, is set in its own container,
so too the rational soul is placed in the fragile container of the body.
In this way, the body is governed in its earthly life by the soul,
and the soul contemplates heavenly things through faith.”
About Saint Hildegarde of Bingen:
Visionary, Mystic, Holistic Healer, Intellectual Progressive, Naturalist, Scientist, Author, and more…...
Hildegard von Bingen (1098-1179) was a visionary nun and polymath. She founded two monasteries,, composed 77 sacred songs and Ordo Virtutum, a liturgical drama set to music, and wrote nine books regarding both scientific and religious subjects. These are unprecedented accomplishments for a 12th-century woman.
Hildegarde believed in holistic healing and that if one fell into disharmony with the innate wholeness of creation, illness resulted. This could be treated through rest, herbal cures, steam baths, a proper diet and by making one's peace with the divine order. She developed herbal remedies to treat pre-cancerous states. Naturopathic doctors in modern Germany still practice "Hildegard Medizin" and work with her dietary philosophy.

• God is the good and all things which proceed from him are good.
A human being is a vessel that God has built for himself and filled with his inspiration so that his works are perfected in it.
