St. David's fall festival coming soon

Next Saturday, October 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., St. David's Center for Child and Family Development will be hosting their annual fall festival. Rain or shine, events will be taking place throughout the center's property located on Plymouth Road in Minnetonka including at their 2.5-acre forest which is one of only 7 school forests in Hennepin County with myriad flora and fauna to explore and discover on your own or by horse-drawn wagon.

This year's theme, get out and grow!, focusses aptly on the outdoors, fitness, and health for the whole family. So, in addition to seeing the birds from the Wildlife Science Center, and having Rainbow Party Arts handle your face painting, you can also try Tai Chi and  Taekwondo with the folks from the Marsh, strike a yoga pose with Mind Body Solutions, or groove with Kidsdance.

All that and more will be available for everyone, so bring family and friends to this great community event. It is a chance for everyone to have fun as well as see and learn more about all that St. David's Center has to offer, from early childhood education and early intervention with therapy and treatment to family education and life-phase services for older clients with special needs.

Lunch, snacks, and beverages will also be sold at the festival market along with books by Bur Bur and Friends and more. So, let's "get out and grow!"
