A St. Augustine man was killed in a traffic accident in St. Johns County Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The FHP Office in Jacksonville says 65-year old Joseph E. Yakaboski was westbound on State Road 16 at Factory Outlets Drive around 10:35 Saturday morning. Troopers say Yakaboski’s pickup truck was hit on the left side by a car turning into Factory Outlets Drive from the eastbound lane of State Road 16. The FHP says the pickup truck overturned several times and Yakaboski was ejected from the truck. Yakaboski had not been wearing his seat belt, according to the FHP report. Yakaboski was pronounced dead at the scene by St. Johns County Fire Rescue. The driver of the car and a child passenger were not injured.
