SSD seminar helps parents manage the pressures of parenting

Parenting a child with a disability may offer hidden truths and joys, and often involves managing pressures including relational, financial, physical and emotional. A sense of loss may be a part of this emotional exhaustion and can lead to compassion fatigue. The Special School District of St. Louis is hosting a seminar to help parents to develop a greater understanding of the grief and compassion fatigue, and to learn techniques for managing these pressures. The presenter will be Greg Pacini, a psychotherapist, has more than 25 years of experience and is a well-known speaker and author.
