AC Milan and SSC Napoli win their UEFA Champions League (UCL) matches on Wednesday afternoon. Napoli defeated German and sub-champions of the UCL, Dortmund 2-1, while AC Milan defeated Scottish team Celtic 2-0.
The heroes for Napoli were Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain and Italian striker Lorenzo Insigne. Gonzalo struck first in the 29th minute, and Insigne followed in the second half in the 67th minute.
Dortmund scored with a Napoli own goal by Juan Zuniga in the 87th minute. Furthermore, the German team received a red card. It was given to the goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller. The German coach was also expelled from the game.
As reported, AC Milan also won their game in the UEFA Champions League tournament, Group H, against Celtic. The goals were scored by Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari, and the other was an own goal by Celtic’s Honduran defender Emilio Izaguirre.
AC Milan and SSC Napoli will face each other on Sunday for a Serie A game. Napoli is currently in tied with AS Roma for the top spot in the Italian soccer league.
