Amelia Richmond, PR Director at Squaw Valley, in a press release on January 17, outlined a two day run of live music at the resort.

Get ready for two days of fun over the Presidents Day long weekend, February 15 and 16. The resort will be featuring the music of Jurassic 5, Matisyahu, Random Rab, and Chali 2na & the House of Vibe.

Richmond, in the press release, said "The concerts are free for season passholders, as well as skiers and riders who purchase a day lift ticket on the days of the concerts. Those who do not have a season pass or day lift ticket can purchase a general admission ticket for $20." That's a pretty solid deal for everyone.

Sean Kristl, the marketing manager at Squaw Valley, had this to say, "“We are thrilled to bring these amazing music acts to Squaw Valley for President’s Day Weekend. The fact that these concerts are free to our loyal passholders and day ticket holders just makes this particular show that much more special.”

Opening the show, Random Rab will get things going for Jurassic 5 on Saturday. Sunday the opening sounds will come from Chali 2na and the House of Vibe, with Matishyahu headlining the day.

The concerts are the KT Base Bar. KT's doors will open at 6 p.m. Spend the day skiing or boarding, then head over to the concerts. It sounds like a fine way to spend a day at Squaw.

Richmond also said the resort is "...rolling out great new deals for passholders. Between now and February 14, season pass holders will receive one free ticket for a friend valid Sunday through Friday. Season pass holders will also access to $99/night reservations at The Village at Squaw Valley, family and friend tickets, and at select retails stores."

A long weekend, skiing, boarding, music. Sounds like a great combo.
