The much needed storm that came in Wednesday night dropped more than a foot of fresh snow at some Lake Tahoe ski resorts. It will make for a happy Super Bowl weekend in Tahoe for skiers and snowboarders.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is forecasting that a smaller system could also move through the Sierra Nevada on Sunday, bringing more snow to the Tahoe region
Both Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are currently open with 17 lifts across both resorts. In addition to skiing and snowboarding on the fresh snow, guests can also enjoy snowtubing, mini-snowmobiles, shopping and dining in The Village at Squaw Valley.
Squaw’s Wanderlust Yoga Studio also offers a full schedule of 19 yoga classes per week, and is open seven days a week.
