From March 22 to March 23, this year's PAX East will be held in Boston and a wide variety of titles will be shown. It's not exactly E3, but it's extremely close and it's almost just as exciting. On March 12, it was announced that Square Enix will be holding a presentation to show off a new Wii U title. Nothing official about the title has been discussed, but we won't have to wait too much longer.
If you aren't familiar with PAX, it started off as the Penny Arcade Expo and it was based in Boston back in 2004. Sadly, registration for PAX East is now officially sold out, but you can expect hundreds of gamers to upload footage of the event to Youtube. At this year's PAX East, tournaments will be held for "Mario Kart 7" and "Minecraft" as well as a few other titles, but since Square Enix will be showing off a new title, this has garnered even more attention to the event.
It's possible that a new 'Kingdom Hearts' game could be introduced for all 3 consoles of the 8th generation, but it's likely that the unannounced title will be a 'Final Fantasy' title that will take full advantage of the Wii U's GamePad. On the other hand, the PS4 and Xbox 720 will be receiving new Square Enix titles as well but it's unknown if anything will officially be announced at the PAX East conference.
Besides the 'Halo' tournaments and dozens of live presentations that will take place at PAX East this year, future Wii U games is what Nintendo fans want. Since Wii U sales are expected to increase by the end of this year, this game could be one of the titles that could really boost sales. Once we find out what the game is, we'll all be expecting gameplay footage and a visual masterpiece that really takes advantage of the Wii U hardware.
