Square Enix releases 'Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster' announcement trailer

Remember back in 2012 when the PS Vita launched and Square Enix told us that the very best reason to buy a PS Vita was because zomg "Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster" would be available? Yep, we remember that, too. Just when it seemed that the game was going the way of "The Last Guardian," Square Enix has revealed the first trailer for the game, at left, reminding us that the game does still exist.

According to the press release, "Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster" will be available as a single disc bundle for PS3, but from the sound of it, Vita owners may need to purchase the titles individually. No word about cross-play/cross-save functionality, either.

The trailer doesn't reveal much of anything other than to remind us how awesome FFX's cut scenes were and how much shinier they'll look in HD. The snippet for FFX-2 provides even less information, other than getting "Real Emotion" stuck in our head. The trailer does promise that we'll see the game in 2013, though when in 2013 is anyone's guess.
