Spyker Cars submitted a new offer Sunday to General Motors for Swedish Saab. Spyker said that they dealt with each of the 11 obstacles from last week’s fallout deal with General Motors, and hope to make this a swift transaction.
General Motors announced Friday that they would close the Saab brand after talks with Spyker fell through.
Sypker Chief Executive Victor Muller said, “We have made every effort to resolve the issues that were preventing the conclusion of this matter and we have asked GM and all other involved parties to seriously consider this offer," the Wall Street Journal reported Sunday.
Spyker said the new offer was valid until 1700 EST Monday.
Saab has 1,100 dealers and 3,400 workers worldwide. If a deal with Spyker can’t be settled on, General Motors plans to close the Saab brand down completely.
