Spyker finalizes deal to buy Saab

   2009 Saab 9-3

It's official. The deal for Dutch automaker Spyker to buy Saab from General Motors has been completed.

Saab sold about 40,000 cars last year, after selling 94,000 cars in 2008. The deal means that Saab will continue with future product plans, such as the upcoming redesign for its 9-5.

The deal was announced last month, but now it's complete.
