The San Antonio Spurs may be without forward Manu Ginobili in the first round of the playoffs due to a strained hamstring, according to a report from USA Today.
The team announced that Ginobili could be out for three to four weeks, which would make him miss the rest of the season and possibly the first round of the playoffs if the injury does not heal in time. The injury occurred last Friday during a 104-102 Spurs win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Ginobili is averaging 11.9 points, 4.6 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 23.4 minutes per game off the bench for the Spurs.
The Spurs are already reeling from injuries—center Tim Duncan and guard-forward Kawhi Leonard were both ruled out for Monday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies—both are suffering from sore left knees.
San Antonio currently holds the top spot in the Western Conference with a 55-18 record. They’re nursing a scant game and a half lead over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
